Answer
Don’t be fooled by loud, pro-abortion activism. Most Americans are pro-life. A 2019 CNN-SSRS poll shows 52 percent of Americans — a majority — say abortion should always be illegal. A poll by Marsist Knights of Columbus found 71 percent of Americans reject abortion after three months, including 70 percent of independents and 49 percent of Democrats. Ninety-four percent say abortions should not be allowed up to birth, which shockingly Roe allows. Seventy-seven percent believe a baby surviving abortion deserves medical care.
Fifty-three percent of Independents and 32 percent of Democrats responded abortion should be limited or not permitted at all, according to a 2019 CBS News/SSRS poll. A Martist/K of C 2019 poll shows 34 percent of Democrats nationally identify as pro-life.
The Democrat Party’s anti-life platform does not represent a quarter to a third of its party, nor does Roe vs. Wade represent the American people’s values. In fact, at the time Roe was decided, three-fourths of the states had outlawed abortion at all stages of pregnancy. The Roe. vs. Wade decision was judicial activism, and if overturned North Carolina will have the opportunity to champion life.
